  21. The Voyager Company (Santa Monica, CA) and Chinon America Inc. are offering a
  22. special price break available only at the Voyager booth during MacWorld Boston.
  23. Purchasers of Voyager's interactive software will be able to buy Chinon's
  24. CDA-431 CD-ROM drive at the substantially reduced price of $495.

  26. The CDA-431, with a suggested retail price of $795, is available in PC and
  27. Macintosh versions and features a fast 350 ms access time, direct RCA audio
  28. outputs, a separate power supply, and easy portability. This promotion marks
  29. the first time that the drive has been made available to buyers at a price
  30. under $500. Ken Matsui, executive vice president of Chinon's Information
  31. Equipment division, expressed confidence that this price breakthrough would
  32. appeal to buyers. "The popularity of CD-ROM players is continually growing," he
  33. stated.

  35. The price promotion allows buyers to take advantage of the growing number of
  36. Voyager CD-ROM titles. The latest, Exotic Japan, offers a 150-lesson
  37. introduction to Japanese language and culture. The award-winning CD Companion
  38. series explores important modern and classical musical works. Voyager plans a
  39. major fall launch of a new CD-ROM product line, including children's programs
  40. and Baseball's Greatest Hits, which relives the sport's greatest moments with
  41. historic audio and video clips. Many of Voyager's products will be available at
  42. special MacWorld show prices.
